The e-Health Lab is focused on the study, development and assessment of innovative techniques and methods from the Information and Communication field for applications in the biomedical and health care domains.
The main research activities are related to: descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive health data analytics using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms; models and standards for the evaluation of mHealth apps; Natural Language Processing (NLP) for clinical and biomedical text classification; Internet of Things (IoT) mobile and wearable systems for patient monitoring; development of apps for patient self-management, self-assessment and disease prevention; systems for tele-rehabilitation for cognitive and motor functions.
