To test on field trials the behavior of wireless access technologies and of algorithms developed at different layers of the protocol pillar, we can count on the availability of some on board units (OBUs) and road side units (RSUs) provided by  two different vendors (to also test interoperability) based on ITS-G5 Wi-Fi for mobility standard. Beside the test of different key performance indicators (KPIs) strictly related to the wireless access technology (such as, latency and throughput), we can also validate signal and system behavior on a bench equipped with advanced spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and network analyzer.
